This position will be responsible for ship operations for a high volume sheet metal fabrication company. Must have knowledge of international shipping and on line UPS and FEDX processing. Freight logistics a must and supervisory skills to manage shipping department scheduling and related operations – i.e. packaging, counting, weighing, checking of finished goods against customer orders – proper balanced truck loading procedures – storing of finished part/product, including storing items in bins, on floor, on shelves in convenient locations for removal and tagging for identification purposes – maintaining records associated with issued, delivered, or inventoried product.Successful candidate will work closely with customer service, production supervisors and schedulers to ensure on time delivery assisting to expedite orders as needed to meet shipping deadlines. Must possess the ability to communicate and coordinate activities with other departmentsWe are looking for a “hands on” candidate with strong computer skills which include experience with an inventory management and shipping related software. Must also have forklift experience and/or be able to complete forklift certification.Driving experience a strong plus – successful applicant may on occasion be required to drive a company vehicle.Lifting up to 50lbs may be required.The successful candidate will have a valid Colorado driver’s license and will need to provide proof of a safe driving record, pass a DOT level drug test and a background check.
